Highways Authorities

neonCloud Amber is a dynamic company dedicated to driving forward the boundaries of UTMC. The company has made a real impression on the UTMC industry with a highly innovative and flexible product range - Argonaut for Traffic Managers and Voyager for the travelling public. In their first year of trading, they were successful in 75% of all the tendered UTMC systems, including Cambridgeshire and Dorset, building an order book worth nearly £1M. Argonaut UTMC Common Databases  has, to date, been deployed in 16 authorities across the country.

The company currently employs 14 full time contracted developers. With such a large pool of the finest tried and experienced developers who know the Argonaut product intimately and can be called upon as and when they are required, Cloud Amber has demonstrated delivery of new product in an extremely tight time frame. Short lead times for products of the highest quality can be achieved as new development does not have to 'fit in' with an existing workload.

With unparalleled experience in both the Public and Private Transport Industries, Cloud Amber is uniquely placed with the skills and knowledge and experience of the wide range of standards and protocols, to combine all the various data feeds. A large group of partners in fields such as UTC, mapping, car parking, journey planning and telephony as well as specialist software developers has enabled Cloud Amber to integrate the most innovative solutions into our product.

wiresIn 2006, the original Directors broke away from ACIS, the RTPI supplier, to form Cloud Amber. They have recently been joined from the same company by Mike Wells who is the new Cloud Amber Operations Director. If there were 10 people in the UK who could be considered to have the Vision, Drive and Ability to radically change the provision of Information in the Transport Industry to both Traffic Managers and the Travelling Public, the Directors of Cloud Amber would wish to be included among their number.

Police Authorities

old pcThe vision of all serving police officers is to have a safe, secure and well informed population.   An ideal world would consist of a contented, well informed and secure public.  Policemen would be required only to smile and give traffic directions.  Unfortunately the reality is this that we live in a very disjointed society where the police are called up on to be every thing from traffic cop to childminder.

In 1829 the first British policeman took to the streets with a top hat, truncheon and frock coat. In 2009 he is likely to have a Kevlar helmet, tazer gun and stab vest.

Traditionally this equipment has been brought forward on a very ad hoc basis, driven by the availability of new technologies and the need for incident specific solutions.  This in turn has led to a disparate mixture of systems which are physical, computerised, paper, procedural and many more.

police carThe out come of this process is massive lack of cohesion and accuracy when it is needed most - a major incident.  Critical situations are often dependant on a small number of experienced officers pulling together these disparate systems to get the job done.

Our view at Cloud Amber is that all the information is available but due to the legacy situation and the way systems have grown over time it is difficult to get it delivered to the correct people in a speedy, useable and accurate manner.  Many tragedies could have been averted had the correct information been available to the right people at the right time.

wpcThe Cloud Amber experience in technically complex and demanding environments brings us to this new market with fresh and innovative ideas.  Providing a new approach and delivering new value in to critical systems.

The Cloud Amber Juno and Echo products are specifically designed to address the particular requirements of Emergency Services in delivering fast efficient services when required, where required - major incidents.

Cloud Amber offer a software solution which takes the complete requirement and tailors it to your specific needs.  We pride ourselves on a consultative approach.  Cloud Amber have a complete suite of software products, however where appropriate we will take legacy systems and incorporate them into the new solution delivering the best possible value and service for your Emergency Planning requirements.
